Roland started playing golf at 8 years of age. He was taught by one of the top teaching professionals in the UK, Mr. Bert Myers. He played most of his professional golf in Europe and achieved his professional playing card at the age of 20.
He came to Canada in 1970 and initially pursued a career in business management. During this period he was involved in a car accident, which ended his professional playing.

Because of his love of golf and his need to give something back to the game, he joined the USGA Teaching Association, where he became a certified teaching professional in all aspects of the game.
Roland currently has a level 4 teaching certification through USGA. He hopes in the near future to take up the challenge of doing Level 5 Masters Teaching Program in Orlando, Florida.
Roland enjoys teaching pupils of all ages and all levels of golfing skills and takes great pride in the way he does his teaching.
